May Update : Year To Date Performance

If solar is to gain the trust of homeowners, then it must be a dependable energy source.

Each month we measure the actual energy produced versus the estimated amounts we originally shared with our customers. We believe accurately measuring energy production is not a nice thing to do. It is a core responsibility for any ENERGY company.

We have been tracking our systems since day 1.

Here is how we are doing:

Year to date, we are slightly below our estimated production with systems reporting 98% of expected production.

April was a soft month for solar production here in our part of PA.  We were down slightly less than 7% versus plan after a huge March.

Systems are in general outperforming the first 4 months of 2024 by about 5%. So overall we are getting a bit more sun. Hard to say though if those extra hours of sun are getting through to the modules with all the dust and pollen out there. We need a few rainstorms (preferably at night) and that does appear to be on the horizon.
